Elevator Speech
An elevator speech is a quick summation of who you are and what value you bring to the customer. Depending on the situation in which you are communicating your elevator pitch, it should be between 10 and 45 seconds with the first five seconds being the most important.
A short elevator pitch might be used in a casual conversation or in a networking event when someone asks you, “What do you do?” A longer elevator pitch might be used in a lead sharing group, a speed networking event, or other events in which each person is given 30-45 seconds to communicate who they are and the value they bring to customers.
